  • Protocol expertise: Solid knowledge of routing, switching and network security protocols.
  • Versatility: Comfortable working with low‑voltage DC power systems and adopting a security‑first mentality.
  • Communication skills: Ability to collaborate with a site partner and explain technical solutions clearly to non‑technical users.
  • IT savviness: Experience with Google Workspace/M365, cloud infrastructure (GCP/Azure/AWS), ITIL frameworks, or a background in the water/utilities sector.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across regional sites.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary: Up to £50,000 (fixed term with potential extension) plus company van and standby costs.
  • Stakeholder pension scheme: up to 10% employer contribution.
  • Holiday entitlement: 5 weeks plus bank holidays per annum, increasing to 6 weeks with length of service; flexible annual leave policy to buy or sell time.
  • Additional paid benefits: volunteer days, cycle‑to‑work scheme, health cash plan, life assurance, and wellbeing‑related benefits.
