Role Overview

A Manager (Assets & Market Entry) will join our Financial Risk team and sit at the heart of how we protect the capital and assets of the Corporation and the wider Lloyd’s market.

What you’ll do

  • Provide robust second‑line challenge across capital, investment and liquidity oversight.
  • Assess new entrant applications, focusing on capital strength, strategy, governance and execution risk.
  • Turn complex analysis into clear, confident risk opinions for senior committees.
  • Support major finance‑led initiatives with practical, forward‑looking risk insight.
  • Contribute to ORSA, stress and scenario testing, regulatory submissions and Risk Committee reporting.
  • Challenge and support the Lloyd’s Internal Model, including investment risk and economic scenarios.
  • Build smarter ways of working through improved data, analytics and risk frameworks.
  • Work closely with Treasury, Investment Management, Central Finance and colleagues across Lloyd’s.

What you’ll bring

  • Solid experience in financial risk management within insurance or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of capital, investment and liquidity risk.
  • Knowledge of SolvencyII / SolvencyUK and UK regulatory expectations.
  • Experience of investment risk, financial markets and asset classes.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders, even when views differ.
  • Clear communication skills, written and verbal, across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience of risk or capital modelling (including ESGs) is beneficial.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to take ownership in a flexible, hybrid environment.
  • A good understanding of the Lloyd’s market is helpful, but not essential.
