FP&A Senior Analyst – 12 month FTC
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented FP&A Senior Analyst to join our Insurtech business. In this role you will produce all financial planning and analysis deliverables, providing insights and recommendations to drive the company’s financial performance and strategic decision‑making. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the Insurtech business worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the company’s financial planning process, including annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data and assumptions for budgeting and forecasting.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve performance and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics to senior management.
- Conduct in‑depth financial analysis – variance analysis, profitability analysis and scenario modelling – to support strategic decision‑making.
- Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives, new product launches and pricing changes.
- Identify risks and opportunities in the financial forecast and recommend mitigation or optimisation strategies.
- Develop financial models and dashboards to track and communicate key financial metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly and quarterly management reports, board presentations and staff updates.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Support external audit activities and provide necessary financial information.
- Work closely with PP and DP Lines of business management teams and foster continuous improvement within the FP&A function.
- Collaborate with other finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of financial processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA is desirable.
- Experience supporting a finance system implementation or transformation (e.g., moving from Excel models to a planning tool).
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in Insurtech or technology industry.
- Experience in pricing models.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools). Implementation of a new tool is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
