About the Role
The Early Help Specialist will deliver interventions and activities for children from pre-birth to 5 years old within Coventry’s Family Hub Framework. The role is a fixed-term contract until March 2027 and is part of the Family Hubs and Best Start in Life Programme.
Responsibilities
- Work with partner organisations, local communities and residents to provide coordinated early support.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate family support activities and interventions within the Family Hub.
- Build effective relationships with children, young people, families and external partners.
- Use a whole‑family approach to assess needs and develop integrated early help offers.
- Provide direct support and help to families to improve outcomes for children.
Qualifications & Skills
- Enthusiastic and motivated with a passion for supporting children and families.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in delivering early childhood interventions or equivalent.
- Knowledge of local services, the Family Hub Framework and the Best Start in Life Programme.
- Commitment to inclusivity, diversity and equality.
Additional Information
The position is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; appointment will be conditional upon a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
