Staff Nurse

An opportunity has arisen within Ward 1 Department of the Belford Hospital for a Staff Nurse with demonstrable post‑registration nursing experience.

Ward 1 is a 12‑bed mixed speciality unit delivering high‑standard nursing care to patients receiving rehabilitation, long‑term condition management and palliative care. We liaise closely with community colleagues to facilitate complex discharges.

Requirements

• Relevant hospital experience with an enthusiastic and innovative approach to team working.
• Highly developed assessment skills essential.
• Contribution to the continuing development of clinical practice and the personal development of the nursing team.

Additional Information for Candidates

• Effective from 1st April 2026 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours; part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure pay remains unaffected.
