Qualifications and experience

Essential criteria

• UK NMC registered nurse (Adult)
• Experience of working in sexual health clinic at Band 5

Desirable criteria

• Experience of working with people living with HIV
• Holds NMP (V300) qualification or willing to train.
• Completion of a post registration course in HIV and Sexual Health

Knowledge and skills

Essential criteria

• Venepuncture
• Demonstrable knowledge of awareness of management issues that relate to specific groups of people living with HIV (PLWH)
• Ability to use computer systems e.g. ICE , Lillie
• Ability to travel across county

Desirable criteria

• Experience of working with people living with HIV
• Completion of a recognised teaching/mentoring programme
• Demonstrable knowledge of confidentiality in HIV services
• Demonstrable experience of managing patients independently.
