Deputy Radiology Manager – Oxford, Diagnostic Imaging
Full-time permanent position. Salary up to £48,000 per annum (depending on experience) for 37.5 hours per week.

As the largest healthcare charity in the UK, we offer the chance to shape high standards in patient care and develop colleagues. The role requires an experienced Radiographer with a ‘can do’ attitude to support the operational management of the imaging department at The Manor, Oxford.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Radiology Manager to ensure the department runs effectively and safely.
- Ensure professional compliance with all regulatory bodies.
- Manage staffing, complete regular audit and risk assessment updates, coordinate research activity, health & safety, infection control, radiation protection and monitoring.
- Maintain clinical skills within the department.
- Validate and assess new equipment and develop new diagnostic procedures.
- Cover management duties and staff during the manager’s absence.
- Co‑ordinate equipment training for radiographers and radiologists.
- Liaise with local research facilities and maintain research activity.
- Create and implement local policies to support department requirements and risk assessment.
- Take on additional duties in Health and Safety, Radiation Protection, and Medicines Management.
Qualifications
- Registered with the HCPC and relevant radiology experience.
- Extensive postgraduate experience; postgraduate qualifications desirable.
- Previous leadership or managerial experience in a sub‑departmental role.
- RPS training and BSc or DCR in diagnostic radiography.
- Flexible approach and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse workforce.
- Willingness to work flexibly, alter shift patterns, and provide assistance to staff when the Radiology Manager is unavailable.
