Seeking an experienced I&C Engineer to support engineering and delivery activities for a large-scale upstream oil & gas development project. The role involves overseeing contractor engineering activities, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, quality, and schedule requirements, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee I&C engineering and contractor deliverables during EPC execution.
  • Review and approve instrumentation designs, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards, international codes, and HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, civil, and safety disciplines.
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, SIF, FAT, model reviews, and technical workshops.
  • Support management of technical queries, design changes, vendor documentation, and interface coordination.
  • Identify technical risks and support mitigation plans.
  • Ensure engineering activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in I&C engineering within oil & gas projects.
  • Experience supporting EPC projects and working with contractors/vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, ISA, ISO).
  • Familiarity with SPI/Intools or similar instrumentation engineering tools.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English required; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in large-scale upstream or processing facilities projects.
  • Experience in multicultural project environments.
  • Professional Engineering certification is beneficial.
