Our Client is looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team. You’ll play a key role in designing, delivering, and optimising solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging projects across the UK.
What You’ll Do
- Design and review electrical systems, schematics, and single‑line diagrams
- Support system sizing, component selection, and layout optimisation
- Provide technical guidance to installation teams and external partners
- Assist with troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and performance verification
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671, G98/G99 and support grid‑connection applications
- Contribute to continuous improvement, safety, and technical standards
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry regulations
What You’ll Bring
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, inverters, protection, and grid integration
- Experience with electrical design software/CAD
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence
Bonus Skills (Desirable)
- Experience in solar PV, battery storage, or EV charging projects
- PV design software (PV*Sol, Helioscope, etc.)
- Commissioning experience in renewable systems
- Working towards IEng/CEng
