Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical Engineer Bias

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Electrical Maintenance Operative to support installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. Approx 85% of the role is based at a static site in Manston, with the remaining 15% supporting other sites in Kent, a company van will therefore be available to the successful applicant where required. The role involves working independently and collaboratively to deliver planned and remedial works on time, while strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks
• Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders via a mobile working app and CAFM
• Use appropriate test equipment and tools, understanding their limitations
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures – no live working permitted
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and attend toolbox talks
• Take part in a call-out rota
• Support a range of maintenance duties, including PPM, reactive and remedial work orders, with a bias for an electrical skill set but flexible to multi-skilled duties

Requirements

• Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations
• Other electrical trade qualifications such as C&G 2491 and/or Electrotechnical qualifications such as C&G 2357 are mandatory
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and controls
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and procedures
• Self‑motivated, well‑organised, and eager to learn
• Respectful, professional, and confident in raising safety concerns
