Position: Structural Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop structural plans and specifications for various construction projects
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess the feasibility of proposed projects
  • Analyze and calculate the structural integrity of existing and proposed structures
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and models
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that designs meet all requirements and specifications
  • Prepare and review project proposals, budgets, and timelines
  • Monitor and inspect construction sites to ensure that work is being carried out according to plans and specifications
  • Identify and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process
  • Conduct structural tests and simulations to ensure the safety and stability of structures
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in structural engineering techniques and technologies
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of (insert number) years of experience in structural engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Proficient in CAD software and other structural engineering tools
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
