Quality Engineer
Location: Stourbridge
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:00 (flexibility required)

What You’ll Be Doing
- Analyse and report quality data to identify trends and support improvement activities
- Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, and corrective action tracking
- Manage internal and external quality issues, including rejects, scrap, and customer returns
- Mentor and engage employees to improve quality ownership at all levels
- Support the implementation and maintenance of process controls and quality standards
- Produce and maintain quality documentation such as SOPs and quality alerts
- Conduct inspections and process audits to ensure compliance across operations
- Maintain accurate quality records and communicate performance to stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with production teams to drive a “quality first” culture
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Experience with quality systems, standards, and problem‑solving tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report data
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to improvement
- IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Foundry or manufacturing experience (ideally ductile iron)
- Knowledge of Lean and root cause analysis methodologies
- Awareness of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
