Salary: GBP45,000 – GBP50,000 per annum

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Poole, Dorset to join a leading engineering team within a globally recognised professional manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
• Work closely with teams on integrated product development
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners regarding production methods and materials
• Prototype, test and validate new product designs
• Support transition from R&D into manufacturing
• Contribute to product improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives

What we’re looking for

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar
• Strong experience in mechanical product design
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, CNC machining and fabrication
• Ability to produce manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
