Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with learning disabilities, mental health and physical disabilities in achieving individualized goals and fostering independence
  • Build trust and create a safe, secure environment for residents
  • Provide care and assistance across shift schedules, including overnight (10pm-7am) and floating duties (7:30am-10pm)
  • Collaborate with other support workers to ensure continuity of care throughout day and night shifts
  • Attend to the daily needs of residents, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management and activity facilitation
  • Maintain accurate records and follow organisational policies and procedures
  • Participate in training and development activities to maintain competence and meet SVQ funding requirements
  • Demonstrate reliability, honesty, and effective communication with clients, colleagues and supervisors
