Role Overview
The Estates & Facilities Directorate will establish a new in‑house team to oversee the delivery of existing Hard Facilities Management (FM) services at the RIE. The team will provide greater control and focus on operational oversight of the RIE, mitigated disruption during the transition period, and comprehensive compliance oversight. This position will specifically oversee and manage all Digital AutoCAD systems that support the Estates & Facilities Asset Maintenance and Infrastructure Department. The role spans Building Engineering Services, Fire Engineering, and Architectural drawings, requiring deep technical knowledge and planning acumen.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all Digital AutoCAD systems, ensuring they support Estates & Facilities Asset Maintenance and Infrastructure operations.
- Plan and develop drawings and layouts in accordance with stakeholder requirements, covering electrical, mechanical, architectural construction, and as‑built drawings.
- Develop and maintain a technical library, providing ongoing management for engineering and infrastructure project drawings.
- Guarantee compliance with all statutory, mandatory, regulatory, and NHS Lothian requirements for the Estates and Facilities Engineering Department.
- Provide oversight on all aspects of maintenance requirements, including statutory and mandatory compliance, thereby enhancing operational oversight of the RIE and mitigating potential disruption during transition.
