School Holiday Play and Wellbeing Support Worker
Salary: £13.69 per hour (Hourly rate: £13.69 | Grade 3). Contract: Basis Casual – 27.5 hours per week for 5 weeks per year during the school summer holidays.
Job summary: The Play Service is seeking caring and inclusive individuals to support children and young people with additional learning needs, disabilities, complex needs, or behavioural needs, ensuring they can fully participate in play and wellbeing activities during the school holidays. The role may involve one‑to‑one support or small group support, adapting activities to meet individual needs, and creating a safe, welcoming environment.
Key responsibilities include: providing support to children engaged in play and wellbeing sessions; adapting activities to meet individual needs; working with small groups or individuals; assisting with play and respite sessions, community playschemes, and Food and Fun Camps; and contributing to programmes that promote wellbeing and inclusion.

Training will be provided, with a training week beginning Monday 20th July, prior to the four‑week summer programme starting Monday 27th July.
