We are looking for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Technicianto join our hotel operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards within a hospitality environment.
About the Role
Working under the direction of the Hotel Operations Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out routine preventative and reactive maintenance across the hotel, ensuring all guest and back-of-house areas remain safe, functional, and presentable at all times.
You will act as a key liaison with contractors and suppliers while supporting the hotel’s compliance, health & safety, and maintenance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
- Carry out minor repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and general building maintenance
- Maintain hotel facilities to a high standard for guests and staff
- Support compliance monitoring and maintenance log systems
- Prioritise maintenance requests in line with operational needs
- Complete daily maintenance reports and job records
- Conduct regular inspections of plant and equipment
- Maintain clean and organised plant room areas
- Assist with recycling and sustainability initiatives
- Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and hotel colleagues
- Support hotel health & safety procedures and fire safety requirements
- Remain contactable via radio while on duty
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous maintenance or facilities experience, ideally within hospitality
- Possess practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs
- Be organised with strong attention to detail
- Have good communication and teamwork skills
- Be able to prioritise tasks and work independently
- Take pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
- Be willing to participate in ongoing training and development
