Lived Experience and Involvement Coordinator
£27,051 – £28,900 per annum pro rata to £10,966.80 – £11,716.22 (Salaries vary depending on experiences)
Hours: Part‑Time, 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Department: Adult Service Delivery
Location: AG Palmer House, Littlemore, Oxfordshire
What You’ll Be Doing:
Response is recruiting for a Lived Experience and Involvement Coordinator within Adult Service Delivery. You will be responsible for forming and maintaining relationships with partners, including the Senior Management Team for the Oxford Mental Health Partnership. Support and participation work across adult mental health services projects, bringing insight from a lived experience perspective. Work within Response’s participation strategy and develop a work plan to ensure consistent good practice is in place to enable participation, involvement and coproduction across adult services. Ensure positive communication and support between partners and other agencies, being a representative for Response across the partnership.
Overall job responsibilities:
- Drawing on lived experience of mental health to provide insights into allocated projects within Response and the Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership.
- Build relationships with members of the Oxford Mental Health Partnership, including the Senior Management Team and the Partnership Management Group. Support operational and strategic decision‑making across the partnership.
- Work as part of a team with an assigned line manager and focus on the direct needs of the organisation regarding building relationships and empowering service users.
- Use expertise to drive change and deliver high‑quality services with the people that we support at the heart of our decision‑making.
- Develop working relationships with managers across adult services and ensure standards are met within their services.
- Promote independent living of service users through role‑modelling, individual recovery journeys, providing hope.
- Attend mandatory training and complete the certificate within the timeframe agreed with the line manager based on the number of working hours.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities of the post.
- Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Comply with safeguarding policies and procedures for Adults and Children and Young People.
- Represent the company professionally, considering punctuality, personal appearance, boundaries and equal opportunities.

- Lived experience of mental health challenges.
- Lived experience of using mental health services.
- Demonstrate confidentiality, professional boundaries and positive role‑modeling.
- Possess or desire to gain skills to be involved in high‑level meetings with senior managers.
- Ability or desire to learn software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Canva, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Detailed understanding of mental health and wellbeing challenges.
- Demonstrate high‑level personal and professional integrity.
- Be compassionate, person‑centred and have a one‑team approach.
- Able to use own initiative and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliable timekeeping and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Positive and caring attitude.
