Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of work: 38 hours per week – 5 out of 7 days (including weekends) between hours of 6am and 6pm
About the Role
We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Deputy Warehouse Supervisor to join our busy team at Fazila’s. You’ll play a key part supporting our Warehouse Supervisor in overseeing daily operations — from receiving and storing goods to picking, packing, and dispatching orders. Working as part of an energetic and supportive team, you’ll help maintain the highest standards of efficiency, food safety, and quality.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
- Supporting the daily coordination of warehouse operations including goods receipt, picking, packing, labelling and dispatch.
- Inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies and reporting any issues promptly.
- Logging and storing items accurately in designated locations.
- Performing stock rotations and regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures, including manual handling and start-up safety checks.
- Promoting and maintaining clean, organised work areas in line with food safety standards.
- Supporting colleagues through training, shadowing, and competency checks.
- Reporting machine faults or safety concerns to your supervisor or manager.
A Few Things About You
- Experience in a warehouse environment with a strong understanding of warehouse processes, including stock control, inventory management and goods in/out.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to Health & Safety.
- Manual Handling and COSHH awareness.
- Listeria Training (preferred).
- The ability to lift and move goods safely (up to 15kg).
