Come and join a charity focused on people rather than profit. We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Refugee Supported Accommodation service, providing accommodation and support for refugees.
Work full‑time (average 39.375 hours per week) on a 2‑week rotation pattern (Week 1: 4 shifts 8am‑8:15pm; Week 2: 3 shifts 8am‑8:15pm; weekend on/weekend off).
Key responsibilities
- Re‑enforce positive support being delivered and establish consistent standards for each new resident.
- Provide a strengths‑based, trauma‑informed approach to empower people in improving independent living skills.
- Safeguard residents from potential danger, harm, or abuse.
- Accurately document notes on our computer system and ensure seamless communication with support staff for effective handovers.
- Maintain flexibility, patience, resilience, and professionalism, approaching duties with a calm and caring demeanour.
