Key Hardware is a well‑established ironmongery and hardware supplier based in Duncrue, Belfast. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to support the efficient day‑to‑day operation of our warehouse and yard facilities.
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a central role in supporting the Warehouse Manager, ensuring stock is handled efficiently, safely, and accurately, while maintaining high operational standards and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and yard activities, including goods‑in, storage, picking, packing, loading, and despatch
Organise the picks via an order management system.
Ensure accurate receipt of deliveries by checking quantities and condition against delivery documentation
Maintain stock accuracy through regular stock checks and investigation of discrepancies
Support timely and efficient fulfilment of branch and customer orders
Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures at all times
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Provide hands‑on leadership, guidance, and support to warehouse and yard colleagues
Liaise with branch staff, transport providers, suppliers, and purchasing teams to support smooth operations
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy
Carry out any other duties reasonably required to support warehouse and business needs
Essential Criteria
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or yard.
Strong communication skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
A proactive, hands‑on approach with a willingness to learn and improve processes
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise workload and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional weekends if required
Current counterbalance forklift licence (reach licence desirable)
Desirable Criteria
Previous supervisory or team leader experience
Knowledge of ironmongery, hardware, or building supplies
Experience using stock management or warehouse systems
