Job Description

As a Commercial Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the Tendering/Commercial Manager’s team, focusing on creating high-quality technical and commercial proposals. Your expertise will be instrumental in aligning these proposals with our company’s strategy and ensuring a seamless liaison between internal and external stakeholders. By considering various factors such as technical definition, schedule, cost, risk, operational resources, manufacturing capacity and project loading, you will contribute to the development of robust and accurate tender submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for proposal development.
  • Collaborate with the Tendering/Commercial Manager, Proposals Engineering Manager, and Rosyth Senior Management Team to ensure proposal alignment with company goals.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand customer needs and market trends, incorporating this knowledge into proposal development.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise proposal documents, ensuring they are customer-focused and technically sound.
  • Review and evaluate proposals, providing constructive feedback to enhance proposal quality and competitiveness.
  • Stay updated with industry developments and best practices to incorporate innovative ideas into proposals.
  • Ensure proposal compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance guidelines.
  • Support the Tendering/Commercial Manager in managing proposal timelines and ensuring timely submission of proposals.
  • Assist in post-proposal activities, including debriefs and feedback analysis, to continuously improve proposal processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ideally, a minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial or proposal development role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in proposal development software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to industry changes and best practices.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for proposal-related activities.
