Job Description:

Sacred Heart Primary School (SIPS) is seeking a Learning Support Assistant Level 2 to join our team in September 2026. The school is a two‑form‑entry primary school in Tipton that caters to children aged 3–11.

Responsibilities

  • Support learning and development across the primary school.
  • Deliver effective classroom practice to primary school children.
  • Use motivating and engaging techniques to excite children about learning.
  • Work effectively as part of a teaching and support team.
  • Manage behaviour with a calm, nurturing approach.
  • Liaise with parents and keep good parental engagement practice.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with children who have Autism, ADHD, and Global Development Delay.
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils.
  • Experience with challenging behaviour management.
  • Preferably, experience delivering early phonics or language programmes.
  • Professional background in education or a related field is desirable.

  • Grade: B, SCP 4, £25,185 (Actual Salary, £19,314–£19,569 p.a.).
