Nature Connect Coordinator (Wilder Norwich)

Part Time 18.75 hours per week – 2 positions available.

Work Pattern: Flexible, some evening work and weekends may be required.

Contract: Fixed term 34 months, ending March 2029.

Salary: £26,818 per annum, pro‑rated for part‑time hours.

Location: Norwich.

The Community Projects Service aims to offer preventative wellbeing support delivered with external partners in community settings, focusing on nature, climate and physical activity projects.

We are looking for an energetic and experienced community worker with a passion for nature and wellbeing to join our new partnership project, Wilder Norwich. It is a collaborative three‑year project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, led by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust in collaboration with Norfolk and Waveney Mind and Norwich City Council.

As a Project Coordinator you will deliver a programme of nature‑based wellbeing activities across the Wilder Norwich project areas – NWT Sweet Briar Marshes, Mousehold Heath and Whitlingham Country Park. You will use a community organising approach to work with residents, community groups and businesses to increase the abundance and diversity of nature in Norwich, building on community strengths to create more joyful, resilient, and healthier places to live.

Applicants should have experience in community work, a strong understanding of nature or environmental engagement, and the ability to facilitate activities that enhance mental wellbeing.
