We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to support our client’s public services in Northampton. This role offers a hands‑on opportunity to maintain facilities and contribute to public safety.
Position Details
- Job Title: Property Maintenance Technician
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Location: Northampton
- Salary: £25,242 per annum
- Working Pattern: Full Time (37 hours per week)
- Driving Required: Yes (manual gearbox licence and ability to drive an organisational van)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct repairs and maintenance across various police and fire facilities.
- Monitor mechanical and electrical systems, including boilers and ventilation.
- Test fire alarm systems and enforce security protocols.
- Assist with the transportation and delivery of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in outdoor areas.
- Help with office relocations and support external events.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in plumbing, painting, carpentry, or electrical work.
- Willingness to undertake health and safety training (Manual Handling, COSHH).
- Good communication skills and proactive approach to tasks.
- Flexibility in working hours and locations.
- Valid driving licence (manual gearbox) and ability to drive a company van.
- Initiative and self‑motivation.
- Awareness of diversity and equality issues relevant to the role.
- Successful candidates must undergo police vetting.
