Overview

We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated inclusion team in a busy and inclusive secondary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people by supporting their learning, confidence and personal development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver tailored learning strategies
  • Support pupils in lessons, small groups and on a one to one basis
  • Promote inclusion, independence, engagement and positive behaviour for learning
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff
  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and contribute to pastoral systems where appropriate
  • Uphold high expectations for learning, behaviour and safeguarding
