Grounds Maintenance Operative – Birmingham

Job Overview

I am looking for a gardener to work with a leading housing association in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

• Use various equipment including ride on mowers, stand‑on mowers, and hedge cutters.
• Look after housing stock in the Birmingham area, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, and pruning.
• Perform weed control, litter picking, and other associated tasks.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of grounds maintenance.
• Experience with grass cutting, shrub and hedge cutting, weed control, litter picking and associated tasks.
• Experience operating petrol machinery and ride on mowers.
• PA1 & PA6 badge (ideal but not essential).

Compensation & Hours

Pay: £16.78 per hour. Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, 7:00am – 16:00pm.

Additional Details

A van will be provided for work purposes only. This is a temporary role covering long term sickness, with a minimum duration of 2 weeks and likely extensions.
