Maintenance Assistant

Salary: £12.71 – £13.50 per hour (OTE £13.76 – £14.55, including TRONC)

Hours: 35 hours a week

Location: The PIG at Combe, EX14 3AD

Role Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team. As part of a small team, you will maintain the functionality, efficiency, health & safety of the hotel. Managing preventative maintenance is key, along with knowledge of fire safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs of damaged facilities and equipment.
• Painting and decorating.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in coordinating renovations and additional projects.
• Hands‑on work, demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge or exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, health and safety.
