Out of Hours Coordinator

Our Home First Community Team is looking for a dedicated and resilient coordinator to support our domiciliary care service outside of standard office hours. This vital role ensures continuity of care for our clients and provides support to care staff when they need it most.

Hours: 18 hours per week, rota includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate care delivery during out-of-hours periods
  • Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and last‑minute changes
  • Support and guide care staff, ensuring confidence and continuity
  • Solve problems quickly and effectively to maintain service quality
  • Communicate clearly with staff, service users, and professionals
  • Use IT systems to update schedules, records, and communications
  • Ensure all decisions reflect safeguarding and best practice principles

  • Problem Solver: Able to think on your feet and make sound decisions
  • Works Well Under Pressure: Stays calm, organised, and focused in fast‑paced situations
  • Excellent Communicator: Confident speaking with staff, clients, and professionals
  • Assertive: Able to make decisions and provide clear direction when needed
  • IT Literate: Comfortable using digital systems for scheduling and reporting
  • Experience in domiciliary care or a similar health/social care setting
  • Understanding of safeguarding and person‑centred care
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility

Salary will be at the bottom of the grade, with possibility for a higher starting salary if evidence of higher basic pay is provided. Equality of pay is extremely important to us.
