Location: Manchester (City Centre) – Fully OnsiteWorking Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday (09:00 – 17:00)

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a team of Funding Application Reviewers to support with the assessment and validation of community funding applications.

Based at a central Manchester office, this role involves reviewing submissions from community groups and organisations, ensuring all applications meet the required eligibility criteria. You will play a key role in supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference within local communities.

The position requires strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information with care and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess funding applications thoroughly, identifying any discrepancies or concerns
  • Validate information provided by applicants against relevant databases and sources
  • Ensure all applications meet defined eligibility criteria and guidelines
  • Investigate and elevate complex or high‑risk cases to the appropriate teams in a timely manner
  • Communicate with applicants via email to request further information where applications are incomplete or unclear
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all data is handled in line with compliance requirements

Key Skills & Experience

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written communication skills, including excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with external applicants
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook and comfortable working with databases and systems
  • Customer‑focused approach with a high level of professionalism
