Supply Teaching Assistant – Knowsley

Role

• Age Range: Working across all primary year groups, from Nursery to Year 6.
• Variety: Covering both general classroom support and 1:1 intervention bookings.
• On-Call Cover: Being available for early morning phone calls to cover short-notice sickness.
• Special Needs: Supporting pupils with various SEN requirements confidently.
• Adaptability: Transitioning smoothly between different schools and teams each week.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school.
• Availability: Ready for morning bookings and happy to travel across Knowsley.
• SEN Comfort: Confident supporting children with diverse learning and behavioural needs.
• Mindset: Enthusiastic, reliable, and able to build quick rapport with staff and pupils.
• Qualifications: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) is highly desirable.
• Flexibility: Work on the days that suit you best.
