Due to Maternity leave an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated part time Reservations Coordinator, on a fixed term contract from July 2026 through to April 2027 to join our passionate sales team at Mercure Barnsley Tankersley Manor Hotel and Spa. We are looking for a bubbly individual with bags of personality and a passion for sales.

Owned by BGAM Hotels who operate multiple branded hotels across the UK, Tankersley Manor is a 4-star hotel, operating under a Mercure franchise, located just off junction 36 of the M1 motorway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming reservation enquiries by phone, email and online booking systems with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Accurately input and manage guest bookings in our property management systems.
  • Provide detailed information about room rates, packages and promotions to potential guests.
  • Upsell additional services and amenities to enhance guest experiences at the hotel.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences from booking to check-out.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel facilities, services and local attractions.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating reservation records and databases.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Experience working in a similar hotel operation working with Opera PMS would be beneficial, but it is not a necessity.

All applicants must have a positive guest focused attitude, enjoy making a difference to others and are good team players.

Job Type: Part Time 18.5 hours

Thursday 09.30-14.45hrs

Friday/Saturday (If working Saturday will be off on the Friday) – 09.30-14.45hrs
