Salary and Hours

Grade 5: £26,824 – £29,540 per annum.

37 hours per week.

Your role

Exciting opportunity to join our internal residential service. As a Residential Support Worker, you will join a dedicated team at our children’s home, providing day‑to‑day care and support to children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and mental‑health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day care and support to children with EBD and mental‑health challenges.
• Help children develop essential life skills, manage their emotions and build positive relationships.
• Work as part of a dedicated team to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, loved, respected and supported.
• Be flexible in your approach and work evenings, weekends and on a rota basis as required.

Qualifications

• Passion for caring for children, resilience, enthusiasm and a solution‑focused, positive attitude.
• Holds an appropriate qualification or is willing to complete the required qualification within 18 months.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and working as part of a team.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children.
• Ability to work in a residential setting, supporting children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and mental‑health challenges.
