About the Role: Vision for Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work in a range of welcoming primary schools in Romford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in their learning, both in the classroom and on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping them to achieve their full potential.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, whether you have previous school experience or are looking to gain valuable experience in education.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Provide support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Assist with classroom preparation and general duties
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children (school-based or transferable experience)
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) – desirable but not essential
