Assistant Manager – Guest Experience & Performance

BAM Karaoke Box is Europe’s leading premium karaoke brand where high-energy social entertainment meets exceptional food, drink and atmosphere.

Our flagship London venue in Victoria spans over 10,000 sq ft and features 22 private karaoke rooms, the Bam Bam cocktail bar, live stage programming and a vibrant late-night scene.

We are now looking for an Assistant Manager – Guest Experience & Performance to help lead the floor and deliver the energy, theatre and service excellence that defines BAM.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional Assistant Manager role.

You will be at the heart of the guest experience leading from the floor, driving atmosphere, developing the team and ensuring every guest interaction feels polished, confident and memorable.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee the full guest journey from arrival through to departure
  • Ensure every booking, event and karaoke session is delivered with energy and precision
  • Create memorable, engaging experiences not transactional service
  • Lead hosts and front-of-house teams to deliver confident, warm guest interactions

Driving Atmosphere & Entertainment

  • Support the delivery of BAM’s entertainment programme, including hosted sessions and themed events
  • Brief hosts and performers on tone, pacing and engagement
  • Maintain energy and momentum across the venue throughout service
  • Ensure private rooms and group bookings are delivered seamlessly

Training & Developing the Team

  • Deliver structured training and on-the-floor coaching
  • Develop hosts into confident, engaging performers
  • Support onboarding, progression and performance management
  • Champion BAM’s service standards and culture

Operational Leadership

  • Act as Manager-on-Duty when required
  • Manage service flow, room turnover and team coordinationMaintain high standards across service, presentation and compliance
  • Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally

Technology & Experience Standards

  • Ensure karaoke rooms and AV systems are fully operational
  • Support troubleshooting and ensure team confidence with systems
  • Maintain consistent room presentation and readiness

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in experiential hospitality, late-night venues or entertainment-led environments
  • Strong floor leadership and guest engagement skills
  • Experience training and developing hospitality teams
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
  • Experience in live entertainment or events
  • Familiarity with AV or karaoke systems
  • Passion for music, performance and guest-led experiences
