Summary
We have an opportunity for a passionate and caring person to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in our Supported Living service in Glynneath, Neath Port Talbot. The role is part‑time permanent, with 24‑ and 29‑hour shifts (plus an 8‑hour sleep‑in shift) and requires coverage 24/7. Day shifts run from 7 am to 11 pm, with extra sleep‑in shifts as needed. A full UK manual driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are essential.
About the Role
This service supports four women with learning, physical disabilities and early‑onset dementia. In this role you will work closely with them to maintain and develop their daily independence, supporting personal care, medication, cooking, cleaning, appointments, community activities and emotional wellbeing.
- Daily Living Support – personal care, medication administration, cooking, household tasks and cleaning.
- Community & Social Engagement – attending appointments, accessing local groups, hobbies and other meaningful activities.
- Companionship & Wellbeing – building positive relationships, providing emotional support and encouraging fun, fulfilling experiences.
- Skill Development – assisting with finances, household skills and confidence building.
- Teamwork & Communication – collaborating with team members, contributing ideas and maintaining high standards of communication and digital documentation.
- Adaptability – working based on individual needs, including lone working and bringing fresh perspectives to improve the service.
Skills and Experience Needed
- IT, numeracy and digital literacy.
- Experience working as part of a team and with people or customers.

- £25,877 (£13.45 per hour).
- Sleep‑in rate: £62.64 per 8‑hour shift – approximately one per week.
