What will my role look like?
You will be part of a friendly team who provides an excellent standard of service and support, making a difference to the lives of children & young people eligible for transport provided by our service.
Working times are generally arranged around school start and finish times, but hours can vary depending on which route you are required to travel on, which could be in the local area or to a neighbouring authority.
Travelling will involve being picked up from your home by our driver and returned after each journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide a vital link for children with or without special educational needs enabling them to attend school.
- Assist passengers throughout journeys, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with children, families and carers, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional conduct at all times.
- Support the driver by ensuring timely pick‑up and drop‑off at agreed locations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Living within North East Lincolnshire or within 15 minutes travel from pick‑up point.
- Basic knowledge of first‑aid (advantageous).
- Specialist knowledge of working with children with SEN preferred.
- Polite, courteous, respectful of confidentiality.
- Full DBS check and registration with the DBS Update Service.
