Helping people find jobs in the local area since 2008
Are you a people person, with a fun outgoing personality? Are you caring and kind with a practical hands‑on approach? Keep reading – we are offering a chance to join the Aldingbourne Trust as a part‑time Support Worker.
The Transition Service offers a unique chance to help young people with learning disabilities to gain confidence and self‑esteem as they leave home for the first time. Support Workers play a key role in helping people to learn skills they need to live independently, including supporting their emotions and learning everyday life skills.
At Aldingbourne, we proudly support people with learning disabilities to live independently in their own flats and be part of our local community. We work in partnership to enable our tenants to live the lives they choose while developing their own independence.
This role requires flexibility covering early‑morning shifts, weekday, weekend, evening shifts and sleep‑in. Our friendly team supports clients in day‑to‑day activities who live independently and are based in central Bognor (close to the train station, with excellent bus services and a busy high street).
We are passionate about helping people we support to improve their well‑being, quality of life, and day‑to‑day living skills. Clients are supported to lead fulfilling lives, get involved in work, learning, and leisure activities of their choosing, keep in touch with family and make social connections.
Working for Aldingbourne Trust means working for a charity that values staff as much as the people we support, with competitive salary, generous benefits and a strong team ethos of supporting one another to achieve the best.
You don’t need previous experience in a similar role – we are looking for individuals who can bring their own experiences and a passion for working with people.
