LGV Class 2 Drivers

Driver Hire Huddersfield are seeking Category C – Class 2 LGV Drivers to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth. These roles are for temporary and ad‑hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands. A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
• Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo get to their destination safely.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
• Be prepared for some nights out, although day work can be offered if this is an issue.
• These roles may also include non‑driving duties such as loading and unloading the vehicle, and candidates should be comfortable with some lifting and demonstrating safe loading.

Qualifications

• Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
• Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.
