Job Overview
Axcis Education is recruiting a Support Worker in the Ross-on-Wye area to begin in September 2026. The role is a long‑term placement (Monday to Friday, 8:30‑3:30 pm during term time) in a school, supporting a student with special educational needs in and out of the classroom and in a student hub.
Responsibilities
- Assist the student in staying focused on lessons
- Build rapport with school staff and other students
- Support teachers in adapting lessons to meet the student’s needs
Qualifications
- Experience working with young people, children, or in a SEND environment (direct classroom experience is a bonus)
- Willingness to undergo DBS and other compliance checks in line with DfE guidelines
Benefits
Hourly pay of £14.25. Training portal provided.
