Job Description: Purchasing Assistant

The Purchasing Assistant supports the supply chain team by assisting with purchasing activities, supplier coordination, order processing, and inventory tracking. This role ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining accurate purchasing records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and processing purchase orders
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
  • Support supplier evaluation and onboarding processes
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
  • Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, associated invoices, and shipments
  • Handling internal purchase requisitions
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
  • Maintaining an approved suppliers list reqularly and as required

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a face-paced environment

Working Conditions

  • Office-based
