my client welcome applicants from craft, mechanical or electrical backgrounds, as well as those who are already multi-skilled. Whether your experience comes from manufacturing, the armed forces, or another sector, they value your expertise and transferable skills.

The role:

  • Complete clear, accurate shift handovers to ensure continuity of planned and reactive work.

  • Use structured root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Why, basic OE/CI techniques) through to robust, sustainable fixes.
  • Support and maintain 5S standards within workshops, stores and maintenance areas.

The Person:

  • Time-served / recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Strong experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment.

  • IOSHH / NEBOSH (or equivalent H&S qualification/awareness).
  • Experience contributing to RCFA / RCA and improvement activity beyond “fix and go”.

Benefits

  • Onsite parking.
  • Supportive team environment.
