Job Title: Communication Support Assistant
Location: Bristol
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £14.26 – £16.00 per hour
This role involves working closely with students on a one-to-one and small group basis to support access to the curriculum and communication development across Early Years, Key Stage 1/KS1 and secondary age groups. We are looking for a dedicated Communication Support Assistant to join our specialist SEND provision in Bristol, which supports children and young people with hearing impairments aged 2-16 in a bilingual learning environment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND or communication needs
- A patient, friendly and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- A creative and engaging approach to learning support
- BSL knowledge or experience supporting children with hearing impairments is desirable but not essential
