Responsibilities
As an Additional Support Worker, no two days are the same. You will play a key role in encouraging the people we support to live as independently as possible. You will work in a variety of settings including Supported Living and Outreach, creating person-centred support plans in collaboration with individuals and their preferred activities. Your activities may include:
- Access community activities such as local walks
- Trips to the park
- Swimming and going to the cinema
- Supporting people in their voluntary work
Requirements / Qualifications
- A good verbal and written communicator
- Patient, caring and supportive
- A passion to develop and learn new skills
- Ability to work to your own initiative and be a team player
- Able to work flexibly
Working patterns
We work flexibly and offer a variety of shifts in Southport. You can book onto shifts through our Worksearch app. This includes day shifts, night shifts and weekend work.
