The Colne Community School, part of the Sigma Trust, seeks a proactive and forward‑thinking Learning Support Assistant to support students and enrich the SEND team.
Hours
30 hours per week (8:40 am – 15:10 pm, Monday to Friday)
38 weeks per year (term time only, plus an additional day during school holidays)
Responsibilities
- Assist students to learn effectively and reach their full potential in whole class, group, or individual settings
- Ensure the needs of new students are communicated to relevant staff
- Contribute to reviews of students’ progress
Qualifications and Experience
- GCSE Maths and English (A*–C) or equivalent
- Ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulties or disabilities
- Ability to resolve routine problems independently
