Pay Rate: £22.00 per hour
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 06:30 – 16:30
- Flexibility required between these hours
Overtime
- Occasional Saturday shifts available
- Saturdays paid at £30.00 per hour
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join a busy waste and recycling site based at Skelton Grange in Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking operator looking for stable, long-term work with excellent pay rates.
The Role
You will be responsible for operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently across a busy waste and recycling facility, supporting day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a loading shovel safely on site
- Loading and moving waste and recyclable materials
- Feeding machinery and stockpiling materials
- Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining high Health & Safety standards
- Supporting general site duties where required
Requirements
- Valid NPORS Loading Shovel ticket or equivalent essential
- Previous experience within waste, recycling, quarry, or industrial environments preferred
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
