Learning Support Assistant

Location: Bovington Academy

Contract: Permanent Part time, term time only

Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: Grade D, scale points 5 – 6, FTE (£25,583 – £25,989); Pro rata for part time (£17,503.64- £17,781.43)

Start Date: 1 September 2026

Learning Support Assistants work in a primary school setting, supporting children from Reception to Year 6 and SEND pupils on a 1:1 basis or small groups. They work closely with classroom teachers to create an inclusive, nurturing environment that encourages all children to reach their potential.

  • Assist SEND pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan individual support sessions.
