Job Introduction

We are looking to appoint a passionate, flexible and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work in class supporting children to engage them in their learning under the direction of the Class Teacher. The role will include lunchtime supervision.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a calm, patient and positive approach with the ability to be evaluative and reflective
  • previous recent experience of working with children of all abilities and knowledge of a range of strategies for managing their behaviour
  • the ability to establish a sympathetic and understanding relationship with children
  • an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
  • excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults
  • the ability to follow directed procedures and also be able to work under their own initiative
  • excellent Maths and English skills
  • a well organised and systematic approach, yet who is also adaptable and flexible
  • a good sense of humour
