Cogswell Surveys is a well-established Cambridge-based land development consultancy providing surveying, planning, and engineering services across the Waikato.
With a strong pipeline of work, we’re looking for a Survey Technician, Junior‑Intermediate Surveyor, or Graduate Surveyor to join our friendly and professional team.
We’re open to candidates at all levels — from those just starting out through to experienced surveyors. For the right person, we’re flexible on both role scope and remuneration.
This role offers a great mix of field and office work across a range of projects, including small infill developments, larger subdivisions, and rural work.
About The Role
This is a hands‑on role with variety across fieldwork and office‑based support.
Fieldwork Includes
- Cadastral surveys
- Construction set‑out and as‑builts
- Topographical surveys
Office Work Includes
- Survey data processing and calculations
- Supporting accurate and timely project delivery
- Equipment management and maintenance
About You
We’re ultimately looking for the right person — attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are just as important as experience.
Ideally, You Will Have
- Relevant NZ experience (preferred but not essential)
- A tertiary qualification or relevant industry experience
- Experience with 12d, 12d Synergy (or similar)
- Strong communication skills
- A full, clean NZ driver’s licence
- Familiarity with Topcon GNSS and Leica robotic total stations
NZ residency or a valid work visa is required.
