Position
Electrical Installations Technician – full time permanent, based in Cumbernauld, working Monday to Friday (39 hours per week, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm).
Responsibilities
Cover the Cumbernauld and surrounding areas, delivering electrical equipment to commercial clients, installing the equipment on site, calibrating it, diagnosing faults, attending monitoring visits, making electrical repairs in the workshop, ensuring vehicle cleanliness and service, taking part in out‑of‑hours call‑out for breakdowns or emergencies on a rota basis, collecting equipment at the end of hire terms, and performing supporting duties as part of a busy team.
Qualifications
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Electrical service or repair experience with basic exposure to machinery control circuits, voltage/current measurements and components
- Some electrical qualifications
- Practical experience of in‑service inspection and electrical equipment testing
- Knowledge of single‑phase and 3‑phase electrical motors
- NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physical fitness; lifting may be required
- Comfortable with occasional work at height for installations
- Will receive full product training and mentoring
Benefits
Basic salary of £35,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays, pension scheme, potential overtime, on‑call rota allowance and additional benefits.
